Story Highlights

  • 1200 page document ready against Jair Bolsonaro
  • Senator Renan Calheiros also surrounded Bolsonaro’s three sons
  • More than six lakh people have died due to corona in Brazil

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been recommended to file a case against him for mismanagement of Corona, including 13 other charges including homicide. According to a Reuters news, this recommendation has been made by Senator Renan Calheiros, who headed the parliamentary team investigating ways to handle the Corona epidemic.

The nearly 1200-page document, prepared by Renan Calheiros, alleges that Bolsonaro turned down early opportunities for the government to get vaccines. This delayed Brazil’s vaccination campaign and killed an estimated 95,000 people.

The report also said that three sons of President Bolsonaro – Senator Flavio, Federal Deputy Eduardo and City Councilor Carlos – should also be booked for spreading false information.

The Senate Commission will vote on the draft report next week. It can be vetoed. Or it can be changed. However, President Bolsonaro dismissed the investigation, calling it politically motivated.

Let us tell you, after America, Brazil is the second country in the world where more than six lakh people have died due to corona.
